The Power of Imagination

It’s somewhat fascinating how you wait for weeks and months and years for just one day. This waiting period is good. It really is. I mean you plan things for that one big day where everything will be just too perfect. You imagine scenarios, you rehearse what you’ll say, how you’ll react, how you will behave, even how others will be. The day comes and there, It went. Turn around. Fast. Grab it if you can. You haven’t had all of it yet. Gosh! It ended! All too soon!
Some things (read nothing) were as you had planned them to be but what about everything else! What about that perfect line you could have said at that particular moment, or that pose you could have had yourself clicked in, or that person you could have chatted with but they left early. And what about those people you thought will stay with you all the time but they had some other engagements?
The good thing is that may be at least you dressed up the way you wanted and left your place looking forward to your perfectly planned event. That’s a different thing that when you reached and checked the mirror, you weren’t looking exactly the same, and that was a hint of how things are going to turn up.
Anyways, things don’t always go the way you plan them to be. But, should that stop you from imagining those perfect scenarios? Oh yes! They drain your energy. But.. but.. but.. Who cares? Have a pizza, you’ll regain the energy. But once that day is over, will you ever be able to imagine how it ought to be. You’ll only be left with memories or regrets. So better imagine those perfect scenarios and feel good about it, be happy you have something in mind that is helping you kill time. After all, even John Green said “Nothing ever happens like you imagine it will. But then again, if you don’t imagine, nothing ever happens at all”.
