Let's click a moment today!
“Here I held
the baby for the first time”, take a picture!
“This place
is beautiful”, I want a photograph here!
“I’m not
feeling good today”, I will pose for a sad picture!
“Aww.. we
met after such a long time”, let’s click a picture!
What I’m
trying to convey through all this is that today our motto has solely come to “let’s
capture every moment of our life” from “let’s live this moment fully”. We take
some photographs, we look at them for the next few days. Then we click some more,
forget the old ones, look at the new ones for few days and then again, the same.
Every time we look at them, we are cherished by the moments we lived, we feel
good (or may be embarrassed) about what we wore, or where we were and with whom
we were.
In the time of despair, these photos
become a source of happiness. And then one day the memory card of our
phone/camera decides that it needs a format and…*bang*… All the photos are
gone! We hadn't even copied them to the laptop yet. How on Earth are we going
to get those moments back! We grieve and cry as if someone just snatched a
child from us.
But isn't that the so called law of
nature-‘The time once gone, can never come back’. Why do we then feel so
helpless over something that we know, won’t come back. Photos are just a remembrance
of the time and place. The best memory card to capture and keep the big moments
of your life is your heart. Because here you’ll not only save that time and
place but the emotions attached to it, the actual love and joy which cannot be
printed on a page, neither can be viewed on a screen. It can only be felt.
When you’ll be leaving this world, you
won’t pick up those photographs to look at the big moments of your life. You’ll
just feel them in your heart, the actual big moments. And then you’ll look up
to the heaven with a smile on your face and satisfaction in your heart that “yes,
I lived my life fully and I have my big moments with me; here, in my heart”
Now, as that time is far away. So,
till then have a beautiful time capturing the great moments of your life; in
your camera as well as in your heart.
